Onam 2009

Onam

Arangites Onam in 2009 was very special for three reasons…….

After many years, most of us celebrated Onam back home in "God's own country" with our loved ones.

And then we celebrated Onam again with the Arang family right here in Al Khor on the auspicious "Gandhi Jayanthi".

Arang EXCOM 2009 with help from members added colour to this special festival by conducting some special programmes.

"Onapattukal",

Karaoke singing,

Kaikottikali,

highlight of the day "Onam ormagal skit" performed by the kids.

and of course the delicious traditional "Onasadya".

Spice Up Your Senses.!!

Spice Up Your Senses on 11th July 2009

Arang added spice to the member’s senses on July 11, 2009 with an exciting set of events.

The attractions lined up for the evening included:

"Fancy Dress Parade" for kids up to grade 4.

"Chandrababu Memorial" Family Quiz Competition, including written quiz for children studying in grade 5 to grade 8.

"Food Festival" – it is great opportunity for members to take up food stalls and sell their home cooked food to the gathering.

Other games and entertainment for families.

Kaliyarang 2009

An exciting activity program was conducted on 27th March 2009, in Al-Waha Club for children of all age group.
It was a wonderful opportunity for our kids to enjoy various activities including Painting, Sketching, Memory Game, Quiz, Picking up Sweets etc.

Mahila - Arang

Arang EXCOM 2009 conducted a special program this year under "Mahila Arang" for the ladies of Arang family.It is always a challenge to look your best at all times..Arang provided an opportunity to get some useful tips from an expert in this field. Mrs. Latha Anand, a well known beautician, shared secrets of highlighting your beauty, on your own, when you do not have the time to visit a parlour.
Program was scheduled on Friday May 22,2009 from 9 am till 12 noon. at the Al-Waha Club Zubara room.

Musical Night - Easter Vishu Program

Arang Excom 2009 presented a Musical Evening on Friday the 24th of April 2009 at the Al Waha Club Ball room in celebration of Easter and Vishu. This program was followed by a dinner.

Beach Club Fun Day

A fun day at the Community Beach club on 21st March 2009, filled with joy, exciting activities, thrilling games, raffle, bingo and delicious food.Thanks to the wholehearted support of the members which made this event a great success.
